Michele D Brown overcomes cancer to continue living life to the fullest.

"A few weeks after my sister died of pancreatic cancer, I got really sick and could not keep food down. While camping over the July 4th weekend, I had fallen in a creek in the mountains and accidentally ingested some of the water. During the testing for the cause of the digestive troubles, I was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer in my left kidney. I had excellent doctors both through the Kadlec Health Care system and at the University of Washington. The cancerous tumor was removed. No chemo or radiation was necessary. After three annual check ups, the cancer had not returned and I was released from care to my primary physician. Today I am 72 years old and working full time. I plan to retire at 74. Without the excellent health care providers, I would not be alive today."
